The Man, The Legend
The subject is someone very close to the artist who was lost to suicide. Before his passing he saw this painting in the current state it's in - which was unfinished. He said how much he liked it just as it was, and not long after he died. This painting was left finished in its unfinished state, just like the life of its subject.
